ABOUT EMMA

Emma Holland of Emma Holland Gardens, sitting in a beautiful naturalistic orchard garden in France

Emma grew up in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and some of her fondest childhood memories are of exploring the fields, streams and hedgerows of the surrounding Cotswolds countryside. A love of the natural world and an appreciation of beauty in nature was formed during those early years.

Emma left her first career in creative advertising agencies to retrain at the London College of Garden Design, based at The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. There she was taught by some of the most respected and awarded names in the industry and graduated with Distinction.

After graduating, Emma joined multi-award-winning design studio, Artisan Landscapes, where she worked directly with clients as the sole designer on her projects. These included pretty city courtyards, large rural schemes and everything in between.

Emma left Artisan to establish her own design studio, Emma Holland Gardens. With a focus on clients in Bristol, Bath and the Cotswolds, she also works in London and across the UK.

In 2024, Emma’s show garden design for the RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2025, was accepted by the Royal Horticultural Society.
